SUMMARY:Drolla Story Telling Bench Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:Commissioned and co-designed by Cornwall National Landscape team and crafted by renowned Cornish metal sculptors Thrussells\, Drolla\, which takes its name from the Cornish word for “folk tale” seamlessly blends intricate artistry with functional design. \nAccompanying Drolla at Penrose will be a photography exhibition displaying some fantastic shots of the winning photos from Cornwall National Landscape’s photography competition run during 2024 with the overarching theme of ‘Celebrating People and Place’ with participants asked to capture what makes Cornwall National Landscape special to them\, from flora and fauna\, to bees\, birds and diverse landscapes.

SUMMARY:WILLIAM KENTRIDGE | DRAWINGS IN MOTION
DESCRIPTION:This presentation of two short films\, made some twenty years apart\, offers a window into the creative processes of celebrated South African artist William Kentridge.  \nJourney to the Moon (2003) is a playful response to the 1902 Georges Méliès film Le Voyage dans la Lune. It follows Kentridge (and his coffee cup) from the studio into his own drawn world. His new film Fugitive Words (2024)\, which will have its first UK presentation at CAST\, unfolds entirely within the pages of one of Kentridge’s notebooks. Details of the specific activities on offer each day will be announced on CAST’s website and social media in July. \nCAST-Off 2025 is part-funded by Little Parc Owles Trust and FEAST. DESCRIPTION:Wednesday\, the half-way point of the week! Those who are working\, keep going\, you can do it! \n\nWednesday’s are a super chilled day at Roll the Dice HQ: we have our make\, paint and chill session running from open (10) until 4pm\, allowing lots of time for people to drop in and catch up on their pile of potential. We do ask for £2 for the session to help cover the costs\, including our community paints.\nIn the afternoon we have our Beginner’s Pokémon TCG Session – this is perfect for anyone wanting to learn the game\, hone their deck building skills or perfect their battling technique. The session is £4 for 2 hours of Poke-fun!\n\nFinally\, this evening our Play! Pokemon TCG evening and our Lorcana evening return! Whilst these are official organised play evenings\, you are more than welcome to attend if you are a beginner player of either of these games – both communities are warm\, friendly and welcoming\, with players more than happy to help out those who are starting on their journey. The evening is £2 if you wish to just come and play\, or £6 if you want to grab a booster with the entry ticket.
