DESCRIPTION:On a single day in summer\, one acre of wildflower meadow can contain 3 million flowers\, producing 1kg of nectar sugar. That’s enough to support nearly 96\,000 honeybees per day. \n97% of species-rich grassland has been lost in the UK since the 1930s\, with the remaining 3% mostly fragmented across the country\, leaving little room for wildlife to spread. \nExplore how the National Trust and partners are tackling these issues\, through the Coastal Meadows project and the Lizard Rarities Project\, in this photography exhibition.

DESCRIPTION:‘A Play at Christmas’ – now in its 25th year!Please Note: This is NOT a Nativity play\, and should probably be avoided by children under 5 and people of a sensitive or artistic disposition. \n‘Mumming\, or Mummers\, plays used to be done all the over the country at Christmastime – they are a sort of Victorian pantomime using figures from history\, comic characters\, and dubious verse. This performance includes lines from plays done in Redruth\, Camborne\, Helford and Constantine from the mid-1800s\, which in turn include words from a play performed in the Truro area in 1780\, the earliest complete mumming text in the country. Various ad-libs will occur\, depending upon the mood of the cast.’Come along\, have a laugh and a pint\, and get in the festive spirit.
