DESCRIPTION:On a single day in summer\, one acre of wildflower meadow can contain 3 million flowers\, producing 1kg of nectar sugar. That’s enough to support nearly 96\,000 honeybees per day. \n97% of species-rich grassland has been lost in the UK since the 1930s\, with the remaining 3% mostly fragmented across the country\, leaving little room for wildlife to spread. \nExplore how the National Trust and partners are tackling these issues\, through the Coastal Meadows project and the Lizard Rarities Project\, in this photography exhibition.

DESCRIPTION:A wondrous weekend including free drop-in workshops at CAST on Saturday 21 March – Grow a Spring Thing and Make a Clay Dragon. \nHelston Spring Thing returns for another vibrant weekend of making and doing in venues across Helston\, organised by Vicky Wiltshire and Amy Webb on behalf of Helston Place Shaping Board\, with the support of Helston Town Council\, FEAST Cornwall and the Helston Downsland Charity. \nSeveral CAST studio holders are involved: Ben Sanderson is leading a free mono-printing workshop in the Museum of Cornish Life’s Drill Yard from 3.30-5.30pm on Friday 20\, as part of the celebrations for the opening of new steps linking the museum and CAST\,  and The Seaweed Institute is offering a Seaweed Pressing Workshop making workshop on Saturday 21. \nYou can find a full line-up of what’s on offer at helstonspringthing.com and pick up a map from CAST\, the Museum of Cornish Life and a number of shops around town.

DESCRIPTION:Get outdoors and get fit with the Trust10 running trail through the countryside of Godolphin. Join a fun\, free and friendly trail run around the beautiful Godolphin estate. Two loops of 5km with stunning views throughout.  \nTrust10 happens on the fourth Sunday of every month and includes two laps of a 5km route at Godolphin\, so 5km runners are welcome too. \nRegistration opens from 8.30am\, pre-run briefing is at 8.55am and the run starts at 9am. \nPlease note: Godolphin garden\, tea-room and outbuildings do not open until 10am. Toilets are open and available for use.

DESCRIPTION:Everyone is welcome to join us for a gentle walk from Highburrow taking in the farmland and Loe Pool at Penrose. We will be looking for ‘signs of spring’ along our walk. \nThe walks are led by volunteer walk leaders and offer the opportunity for anybody to spend time in nature and meet new people. Everyone is welcome\, of all abilities and experience\, and the walk leader will facilitate the walk to ensure everybody feels comfortable. \nThe basics:SuitabilityChildren very welcome\, adult supervision required at all times. \nMeeting pointThis walk will start at Highburrow (TR13 9EU or what3words///blockage.polo.coasted)\, meet at the NT welcome board. \nWhat to bring and wearWear clothing suitable for all weather\, ideally layers with waterproofs and comfortable\, sturdy footwear. \nAccessibilityThis route includes uneven ground\, possibly steps and stiles.
