DESCRIPTION:On a single day in summer\, one acre of wildflower meadow can contain 3 million flowers\, producing 1kg of nectar sugar. That’s enough to support nearly 96\,000 honeybees per day. \n97% of species-rich grassland has been lost in the UK since the 1930s\, with the remaining 3% mostly fragmented across the country\, leaving little room for wildlife to spread. \nExplore how the National Trust and partners are tackling these issues\, through the Coastal Meadows project and the Lizard Rarities Project\, in this photography exhibition.

DESCRIPTION:Join the National Trust on a wildlife walk\, starting at Lizard Village Green and taking in Church Cove and Bass Point on a circular route of around 5 miles (approx. 2.5 hours).\nTake in the surrounding countryside and dramatic coastline including Housel Bay\, with the opportunity to spot seals and choughs. \nMeeting point\nMeet at Lizard green car park TR12 7NZ what3words //////cherish.foiled.electrode\nParking charges apply. \nWhat to bring and wear\nPlease come in sturdy footwear and bring some waterproofs in case of showers. \nAccessibility\nThe route follows sections along the South West Coast Path\, including uneven ground\, steep gradient\, steps and a number of stiles. The walk can be muddy so please wear sturdy boots\, trainers will not be suitable. \nOther\nDogs welcome on a lead. We may pass through fields where cattle are present.
