DESCRIPTION:Archaeologist Charles Johns talks about discoveries made at the site of Kynance Gate one of the ‘lost’ sites of Cornish archaeology. In the early 1950s a schoolboy found some pottery there. This led Headmaster\, Ivor Thomas\, from Landwednack School to carry out excavations between 1953 and 1963. Charlie will share his knowledge about this nationally important settlement with Bronze Age\, Iron Age and Romano-British finds.

Seating is not provided.\nThis open-air event takes place in Events Square\, directly outside Lakeside Cafe at Coronation Park\, Helston\, TR13 0RA.\nOutdoor events will only be cancelled in extreme weather conditions\, so please bring a coat (but not an umbrella as it blocks the view of other audience members).\nThere is a small pay and display car park at Coronation Park as well as a larger car park at Castle Green. Free parking is available at the nearby Fairground car park.\nThere is level access to Coronation Park and Events Square.
