Tickets We understand things are challenging for many people. For this event we are charging a small fee per ticket to cover our core costs. We are also offering a ticket draw for anyone unable to afford this at the moment.​​£3 All Ages Ticket Everyone in your group will need to purchase a ticket (adults and children)​​£0 Show Ticket Draw If you cannot afford a ticket right now please enter our free ticket draw. Trevow Helston will give away as many tickets as we are able to and we will inform you if you have won tickets a minimum of three days before the event. To enter the ticket draw please click here. What do I need to know?​This event will take place at the Helston Old Chapel\, Meneage Road\, Helston\, TR13 8BH. There is a large pay and display car park opposite the Helston Medical Centre\, Trelawney Rd\, Helston TR13 8AU. This is a 5-10 minute walk away. It is possible to drop-off and pick-up immediately outside the chapel building. Recommended for children aged 4+ and their families. For this event the first few rows of pews will be reserved for children to ensure everyone can see.​There is level access from the tarmac path into the side door of the chapel. There is space inside the chapel for wheelchairs. The seating will be on pews. If we can support you at our event in other ways please contact us on guy@cousinjacks.org Refreshments will be available at this event. Card payments only.​We currently have limited facilities at our new venue. Please be aware that we will be using an accessible portaloo for this event.​We estimate a run time of approximately 60 minutes.​There will be no interval at this event. Amanda Rice’s film The Flesh of Language sets out to examine our impact on the Earth’s ecosystems through capitalist processes of extraction and overproduction. Niall Cullen’s The Dog Who Became a Frog explores the idea that every living thing shares the same energy force. And Dan Guthrie’s Coaley Peak (A Fragment) uses a family photo taken at a Gloucestershire viewpoint as a starting point for a work focused on Blackness and belonging in the English countryside. \nSpirit Messages also features works by Ross McClean\, Jamie Crewe and Luis Arnias. DESCRIPTION:Join us to learn the craft of seaweed pressing – a Victorian practice that captures the underwater beauty of seaweeds. \nDuring the workshop you will learn to recognise\, identify and forage local seaweed species. The cultural history of seaweeds will be discussed\, as well it’s agricultural\, scientific and ecological uses.\nWe will prepare a seaweed taster which showcases one of our favourite recipes.\nAfter laying out your designs they will be loaded into our seaweed press where they will dry over the next weeks in our studio. When they are ready we will send you your pressings in the post.
