Tasty Healthy Food on a Budget
Learn how to prepare a range of tasty dishes and different ways of using locally grown ingredients. Discover value for money tips at the same time as picking up new ideas for meals to serve and find out more about using slow cookers, how easy and economical they can be. You will learn:
- How to prepare tasty dishes
- Food and menu planning on a limited budget
- How to create delicious food using a slow cooker
- Making best use of locally grown produce
Participants will receive a free slow cooker to take home with them (if they don’t already have one) – as well as great recipe ideas.
This the first of a series of workshops on cooking, preserving and storing locally grown produce organised by Incredible Edible Helston, funded by South West Community Matters and Helston Town Council.
The workshop will be delivered by Tiffany Coates. Tiffany is a qualified chef and also has a degree in Hospitality Management. She has many years of catering and teaching experience as well as a background in Community Work. She currently works as a food tutor and Community Food Worker in Cornwall.
