Learn\, refresh and refine your throwing skills; you will explore how to make a variety of forms using a range of techniques and processes. \nThis course is for people who have had some previous experience on a wheel or none at all. \nEach attendee will have up to 5 pots fired. \nWhat to bring? All tools and materials will be provided. Wearing old clothes that can get mucky is advisable. Please bring your own apron and towel to each session. \nCollection: Ceramic work will be ready 4 weeks after the final workshop to allow time for pieces to be fired. Pots can be collected from the studio at CAST during Open Access Sessions on Monday and Thursday evenings 5:30pm – 8:30pm and Friday afternoons 1:30pm – 4:30pm. \n£240 includes tuition\, equipment\, materials and firing of 5 pieces.

DESCRIPTION:A one-off session exploring using coloured clay to make patterns and playful surfaces within the clay body. Attendees will form simple shapes from a variety of coloured clays and use these to make slabs from which simple forms such as dishes and bowls will be made. \nAfter the workshop we will finish the works and then glaze them with our transparent glaze. Each attendee will make three pieces. \nFor 18 years and over.
