Helston’s Markets
Helston hosts one of the largest Farmers’ Markets in Cornwall as well as a thriving weekly Community Market.
Helston’s Farmers’ Market runs from 9.30am – 1.00pm on the first Saturday of every month bringing you the very best and freshest produce the local area has to offer.
Established in 2008 the market has grown to be the biggest and best Farmers’ Market in the area and is home to over 30 local producers of food and drink.
The Farmers’ Market trades at the Old Cattle Market next to Helston’s Coronation Park. A real community event, people come from all over the local area to stock up on the freshest local produce, be it potatoes dug that very morning to award winning pork pies still warm from the oven, the market is a feast for all your senses.
Helston Community Market, held every Friday in the Helston Methodist Chapel from 9.00am to 12:00pm, is Helston’s oldest traditional market. A collective of nearly 50 producers selling local seasonal homegrown produce, traditional homemade cakes, local honey and homemade preserves as well as local grass fed meats, eggs and unique handmade crafts all made or grown within Helston & surrounding area.
After you’ve finished browsing, why not take a seat and enjoy a freshly cooked bacon roll and a cup of tea with a chance to chat with many of the producers personally and catch up on the local gossip.
