The U3A provides educational, recreational and social opportunities for the retired and semi-retired of the area.
Helston & District U3A offers its members over thirty different activities, including lunch clubs, cinema, day trips, art, classical music, a Really Terrible Choir, book clubs, poetry, creative poetry, creative writing, calligraphy, ambling and rambling, bird-watching, digital photography, petanque (boules), carpet bowls, short-mat bowls, table tennis, line dancing, handicrafts, wine tasting, indoor games, kite flying, culture & language of China and beginners bridge.
The U3A is a perfect place for the retired and semi-retired to be when they want to make new friends and take up new interests.
Social meeting every 3rd Wednesday which includes a talk from a visiting speaker, when all members can meet and have a chat over coffee
Membership costs only £12 per year and the only other costs required would be to cover rent of premises, and of course entertainment, food etc.
