To honour Women’s History Month, the Bookshop is delighted to host award-winning Penzance poets Abigail Ottley and Vivienne Tregenza, who will each share their first collections, published in 2025.

Out of Eden, Abigail’s debut collection published in May 2025, is an energising, inspiring, hard-hitting collection of award-winning poems which tell remarkable stories and parables of women’s endurance which celebrate their fierce strength and resistance.
In this collection Abigail also captures the minutiae of working-class life, the harsh lives of the marginalised and shifts in mother-daughter relations.  Published by Yaffle Press.

Conversations with Magic Stones by Vivienne Tregenza commemorates the life and work of Barbara Hepworth, fifty years after her death in a fire at her home in St Ives. It goes on to explore the Hepworth themes of figures in the landscape, loss, resilience and transformation, moving from the poet’s home in West Cornwall to the Isles of Scilly and back again.  Published by Indigo Dreams.
