An Evening with Poets

Maggie Harris and Jessica Taggart Rose are two poets based in Margate, Kent whose works journey from the UK to Wales, Guyana and France through multiple histories, ecologies and languages. Maggie’s award-winning poetry runs deep through greenery and along the Berbice River in her childhood home of Guyana, springs up in Wales and takes root in her garden in Kent. Jessica’s poems find themselves in the heart of Paris, surface outside the city’s peripherique and plunge into the Channel at the mouth of the Seine. Join us for an evening rich in poetry, imagery and conversation.
