Claude Bolling Suite for Flute and Jazz Piano Trio

Kernow Chamber Players returns to Trevow Helston for a third time, this time forming an ensemble of flute, piano, bass, and drums to perform the Suite for Flute and Jazz Piano Trio by Claude Bolling. Bolling was a prominent international jazz artist from France; he composed this crossover piece in 1973 and achieved instant success – 10 years on the best-selling album charts, a Grammy nomination, and follow-on commissions from some of the most prominent musicians in the world.

Jenny Farley, Harriet Petherick Bushman, Pip Harbon, and Richard Bushman will perform this piece which explores the boundaries between classical music and jazz in a light-hearted and charismatic way.
