Exhibition: Exceptional Celtic Woman-Ann Trevenen Jenkin
Saturday 1 March @ 8:00 am - Wednesday 30 April @ 5:00 pm
Free
We are honoured that a collection of artefacts, from art to a Cornish scarf full of badges, relating to contemporary Cornish activism and culture belonging to Ann Trevenen Jenkin (1930-2024) have been generously donated to the Museum by her family.
Ann was a trailblazer in the world of Cornish politics and culture, becoming the first female Grand Bard of the Cornish Gorsedh in 1997, taking the name Bryallen meaning ‘primrose’. Ann was a founder member of the Party for Cornwall – Mebyon Kernow. In 1997 Ann organised a huge march to London in the footsteps of the Cornish Rising (or Rebellion) of 1497.
Come and see this superb selection of contemporary Cornish artefacts on display in the Link Gallery.
