Set in the 1960’s, this is a magical, musical and spoken word Odyssey based on extraordinary tales and characters from the Cable & Wireless archive based at PK Porthcurno.
Starting with the infamous Porthcurno car rally, the story winds its way through the country lanes of West Cornwall and out into the far-flung corners of the globe.
The journey takes in the exotic locations and stories of Cable & Wireless engineers and the people they encountered.
From Penwith in the far west of Cornwall, Bagas Degol means simply ‘feast day band’ – music for celebration, ritual and dance. Since 2001 Bagas Degol have been wowing audiences with their distinctive and stirring sound, delivered with a powerful raw edge.
