Disappearing Traces – Junk Journaling and Creative Writing Workshop
Join Vicki Aimers, a PhD researcher at Falmouth University and artist in residence at the Museum of Cornish Life.
This two and a half hour workshop is inspired by the archival traces of a young sampler maker from the last century, Margaret Lanyon (1861–1939).
Together, we will work with collage, a simple printing technique, and a creative writing exercise, shaped by your own memories and experiences, and the pleasure of making. A journal and collage kit is included in the workshop price, and you are welcome to bring copies of photographs or other ephemera connected to your story.
In this workshop you be invited to share memories and personal stories. We are aware that this can bring up strong emotions. You will not be asked to share anything that you don’t want to and if you prefer not to contribute any memories or stories within the group setting that is fine. We ask that everyone taking part is respectful of each other.
Places are £28 per session ( morning or afternoon) and booking is essential through Eventbrite.
Each place, includes a journal kit and access to other materials.
Suitable for adults aged 18 and over
