Nightchurch Piano Tour

Rhys Wynne-Jones, also known as the “mystery Nightchurch pianist”, went viral on social media after playing Bohemian Rhapsody start to finish at St. Mary’s Church in January 2024 when he was homeless.

After being featured on BBC News, ITV West Country, Cornwall Live and BBC Radio Cornwall, Rhys organised a special concert at the church in response to his newfound fame, raising almost £2000 for Nightchurch Penzance, an organisation that helps vulnerable and homeless people.

Since then, Rhys has performed at venues across Cornwall and beyond including The Hall For Cornwall, Carnglaze Caverns and most notably a sell-out concert at Truro Cathedral. To date his fundraising for local charities has reached over £16,000. He strongly believes in using his musical talents to help others, despite his own circumstances.
