Talk: Archaeology Excavations at Kynance Gate

Archaeologist Charles Johns talks about discoveries made at the site of Kynance Gate one of the ‘lost’ sites of Cornish archaeology. In the early 1950s a schoolboy found some pottery there. This led Headmaster, Ivor Thomas, from Landwednack School to carry out excavations between 1953 and 1963. Charlie will share his knowledge about this nationally important settlement with Bronze Age, Iron Age and Romano-British finds.
