Texture Art Exhibition with National Trust: Soil Circus by Maya Ronchetti

The Soil Circus is a textile art exhibition by artist Maya Roncetti on display at The Stables Gallery. Inspired by natural dyes found across the Lizard Peninsula, the work explores colour, material and the close relationship between art and landscape.

Maya is a textiles and installation artist whose work explores the many ways people have connected with nature in the UK, drawing on cultural, historical and traditional stories, as well as more complex relationships with the natural world. For this project, Maya has gathered, processed and dyed materials using plants, working closely with National Trust volunteers and rangers to forage and collect natural dyes that have inspired and shaped the finished pieces.
