Whether it’s indoor or outdoor fun, getting close to nature or experiencing the thrill of the fairground, Helston has it all for families this August.

Flambards Theme Park has an exciting line-up of August evening events with live music from local artists, after-dark rides, and award-winning spectacular firework displays.

Flambards is open daily August for fun family adventures. Plus, every Monday and Wednesday throughout August, visitors will have the chance to enjoy live music performances. Flambards is proud to be supporting a host of fabulous local bands including The Qwest, Shameless and The Electric Bandits. 

The events will colourfully climax with fireworks illuminating the Cornish night sky. 

All the evening events taking place on Mondays and Wednesdays throughout August will close with spectacular fireworks displays. Dates are as follows: 4th, 9th, 11th, 16th, 18th, 23rd, 25th August.

CAST’s popular off-site programme of outdoor creative activities for children and families returns to Helston this summer, with free artist-led activities on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 3 to 28 August. All activities  are offered on a drop-in basis, no booking required. 

This year there are two main bases for activities, with workshops in the walled garden at Penrose and den making with artist Ben Sanderson in ‘Ben’s Den’, located  in a little wood on the edge of town near the Bulwark estate.   Check the website https://c-a-s-t.org.uk/events/or CASTCornwall facebook page on the day in case of extreme weather or last-minute changes. Tuesday and Saturday sessions will run from 10am to 12 noon and 2 to 4pm. 

The Museum of Cornish Life sees the return of its Krafty Kids workshops this August, these Free Family Workshops  run on the 5, 12, 19 & 26 August 2021 from 10am-12noon
